Playgrounds are a vital resource for communities especially for areas where there is high density living. They provide the space for parents and kids who live in apartments or townhouses where there is no backyard.
You can find playgrounds in parks or stand alone.
The Linton Street Playground is a standalone playground in an area which appears to be family friendly but also has a lot of townhouses. So it’s probably a great place for kids in the neighbouring area and school to visit. However, the playground seemed worn and not well maintained.
There was also very little shade which I think should be a pre-requisite for all playgrounds. The playground had the basics – swings and slide but the uneven surface was quite dangerous.
