We headed to Mounties for a bite to eat while we were in the area.
It was our first time and our initial impression was a bit apprehensive as it appeared to be under construction. The car park was deserted and it was hard to work out where the entrance was.
It turns out we had come in the back way and by the time we saw the main area of Mounties we could see plenty of cars and in particular undercover parking which was a bonus.
The main entrance area is opulent with the chandelier and the employees ready to help you with the ID scanning machines.
We didn’t have time to explore too much of the place but noted that they had a room of arcade games for kids, there was a table tennis competition going and they have several restaurants and bars to choose from.
Mounties is the home of live sport, with all major events televised; and the club also offers a fantastic choice of entertainment, from live bands to big name acts.
You will be spoilt for choice with four quality restaurants and 13 bars for you to choose from.
Mounties also offers a vast range of facilities, including function rooms, a world class gymnasium, physio, child minding, a hairdresser, rewards shop and travel agent.
We ate at the Terrace Cafe and Bar and ordered burgers and chips.
The food was ok. Nothing special or terrible about the food. I probably would try other eating places in the venue if I was to come back.
The prices were cheap if you were a member and still pretty reasonable if you weren’t a member.
There were plenty of seats inside as well as on the terrace.
